Personally I am a little shy, but have posted the odd question as I know nothing! I have been truly grateful to you all for the help I have received. Hopefully I'll have something useful to say in the future. One thing that struck me though is, there are over 15000 members and so, I for one am glad that they don't all post . Nobody has that much time on their hands to read that much post

I hope I've not offend any of our new members with this tread, that was not my intention. I'm the last person that would want to offend anyone. Everyone has the right to post as and when they feel or not at all. If I have offended/upset anyone, please accept my sincere apology's. When I first started to post there was one grape that had a nasty skit at what I'd said, but as I posted a little more I realised it was just there way, I joined the MoneySavingExpert site and there really mean on there. When I come here, I see the familiar name's that post, and it's like coming home, and I don't want to upset such a BIG family.Last edited by ginger ninger; 01-10-2009, 10:46 PM.

My problem is my sense of humour, I take the 'P' out of everything. Not sarcastic (well not that often) more of a deliberate misunderstanding to try and get a raise out of people.
But not knowing you personally or if you would take it in the spirit intended, I choose to delete rather than risk offending.

To be totally honest, I only signed up here to get some free, helpful advice...
...but what I found was a community of great, friendly, welcoming people who just happen to have gardening in common (amongst various vices!). So whenever I'm bored I come on here to pick up handy tips, or just see what people are talking/joking about.
I guess some people join for the advice, and then don't stick around long enough to see what else the forum has to offer.
In my opinion; their loss, but who am I to judge?Current Executive Board Members at Ollietopia Inc:

I watched for a bit at first, saw so much really good advice and a lot of fun so decided to join. I didn't expect to do much posting but, as I was growing in pots for the first time, found I had quite a few questions to ask. Then, to my amazement, I read a question from another grape to which I had the answer, and it has gone on from there. Now you all feel like my extended family and I even read the forum before the news some days.

I'm a newbie but now I've found you I wouldn't go anywhere else, you are the most fantastic, funny (in a good way), helpful people and when I get to the point of actually knowing something I will post replies but at the moment I'm all questions...Becky

I also practise the art of dumb insolence that tends to wind people up more so .
But if you do not set out to be offensive just keep your head down for a minute or two and then some body else post some thing about some thing entirely different and you get forgoten so go for it....jacobWhat lies behind us,And what lies before us,Are tiny matters compared to what lies Within us ...

I read this forum every day but don't very often post. I came here from a gardening newsgroup (for those not familiar with newsgroups, they predated forums).
I also belong to a winemaking forum, moneysavingexpert, gardenlaw, NFH, period property, and a widows forum. I don't visit them every day as I do actually have to work for my living .
