Me too !! I thought I was the only one that did that.

And it has been fairly quiet on here since the start of Sept. So when I have posted something, no-ones been along to read it.

I use this site. Its a bit complex at 1st glance, but it makes sense when you've looked at it for a little while.

WW - Amish tomato soup - warms the cockles.

We had an Amish cookbook growing up; and I used to use quite a few of their recipes....happy days.

I saw that Amish website a few weeks ago and thought the same thoughts about using technology........but hey ho - ones does what one does.....

Hi Ginger Ninger just been reading your question I am new to this site, this is Bob Elm by the way and I think that finding your way around the site and knowing in which section to put your thoughts I suppose that's in (general chitchat) and questions can be a bit uneasy.
I have a question for you or anybody else who can help where can you buy peat pots for peas, beans etc etc cheap enough and in bulk or is there a device that could be bought or made that could do the job in a reasonable time?
How do you get the photo onto the top left of your window?
And where do the terms like"germinator" etc etc come from, who gives these terms out?
As I say I'm new to this and would like to take part given a bit of knowledge about the site.
Bob Elm (am I doing this right?)

                                Hi Bob,
Loo rolls make great pots for things like peas apparently. I tend to sow directly into 3" pots myself which I then put in a propagator to germinate.
If you really want peat pots you can pick them up from places like wilkinsons, poundstretcher (Instore) or from garden centres/B&Q type places.
You can add photos on your profile. If you click on your name in the top right hand corner of the screen it will take you there. Have a browse, you can even add albums
Terms like germinator simply correspond to the number of posts you've made. The more you talk the more developped you become
Welcome to the vine, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
