My daughter just has to walk into a shop and bargains just seem to fall off the shelves into her waiting arms, but I'm the sort of person who will pay £20 for something, then find it on sale for £5 two days later. This week though, I've found loads of things. Our chicken houses are awaiting their winter overhaul, the plan is to check everything and give them an exceptionally good clean before winter. We also wanted to put vinyl flooring down to make them easier to dry on cold, wet days, but also to give a bit of added insulation. There's a little carpet shop nearby so on Tuesday we popped in there as they occasionally have cheap roll ends and we wanted a piece for the first of the houses. We found a huge roll, which was a 'second' as the printing had gone awry, big enough to do not just all the chicken houses, but the shed too. £10 for the whole lot! Then OH, who is a hill walking obsessive and who has been threatening to buy a second pair of his favourite boots for nearly a year before discovering they'd been discontinued, found the last extant pair in a little outdoors shop in a small village at the end of yesterday's hike. Not only were they his size, but they'd been reduced by 50%, then they knocked another 10% off for him, saving the best part of £100. (yes, I have seen the receipt, ) And today I've discovered that the toy our granddaughter is wanting for her birthday is on special offer. Brilliant! Our daughter is on holiday though, so perhaps her Bargain Fairy is just staying with us for a week or two.... strange though, the fairy normally goes with her.

Excellent work! We were about to pay £230 for a nursery wardrobe, when suddenly it was reduced to £89! Also with decorating nursery and other bits and bobs - Laura Ashley have agreed to honour an expired offer (website order messed up) of 'buy anything for the home and get another half price.' When buying curtains, wallpaper, fabric stuff, that saving is really worth having!
Just had Tesco deliver shopping and joking with delivery guy about not telling Mr R how much I spend on shopping...I don't say what it's cost, I just say "I saved £25 in special offers this week!"
Hope the Bargain Fairy sticks around for you a bit longer!I don't roll on Shabbos
