  • I need help with Washing machine

I have aquired a Beko Eco Care WMA 1512s washing machine, I do have the instructions but it doesnt matter what program I set it on, it doesnt take in the fabric softner, I want to do a wash at 30 or 40, I have found some programs take 2 hrs which is far too long. Any body out there got one of these machines.

sorry I don't have one of these but you could try using a brand that incorporates the fabric softner in the powder. We use Bold for this.

You say 'aquired'...does that mean it's 2nd hand? If so- did the previous owners have that problem too?? Could the flow be blocked by a build up of powder or slime?
If it's new....is there something simple like a piece of tape across the tube, preventing it from being swilled out?

I got it from niece and she never used fabric softner, I can get it to take it if I put it on extra rinse, I have put a load on at about 10am this morning and its only just finished, this seems very long. Dont know what I am doing wrong but if all the washing takes this long I will be here forever.

And it'll cost a fortune! Could you ask your niece?

            This is what instuctions say
            1.Sort laundry ( obvious )
            2. Load machine ( obvious )
3 Shut the door ( obvious ) lol
            Programme selection
Turn the prograame selection knob clockwise to number selected, wash programme and temp selected at same time.
            1. Open the drawer
            2. Put powder and fabric softner in compartments ( show's diagram for which compartment to use )
            3. Close drawer.

Prog operation 1,2,3,4,5 and A end on line after A
6,7,8,9, and B if rinse hold button is not pressed end on line after B
10,11,12 and C if rinse hold button is not pressed end on line after C
If fabric softner is added in the softner compartment it will be used in the last rinse cycle.
If rinse hold is selected by repressing this button you can continue the programme.

I came to my senses one day and realised that the 'cotton' programmes on my machine are all long winded and take forever. The 'synthetics' programmes take less time about an hour / 50 mins less, so now, unless the clothes are really horrible I bung most things in on a synthetic load as it seems to do the job just as well. If things are just being freshened up - ie once worn for couple of hours and then left lying on floor sort of stuff.. then I use the 30 min programme.

I have to put them on spin at full revs afterwards to get the excess water out... but even with doing that the synthetic programmes still save a bundle of time.

None of our clothes other than the gardening and workshop stuff gets really dirty and it means we can get stuff drying on the line lot quicker and get more loads done and loads more done!

I think I need to select and press the quick wash button to shorten the time will try that now and will let you know how long it takes. Time washing in machine 2pm by my clock. prog no 5 with quick wash and rinse hold selected this time. Not used the rinse hold before.

Maybe the processor is shot? My old machine went potty and so variable that when it stopped rinsing stuff I ended up with a lifelong allergic reaction to detergents! Great all over hives!

                          Fabric conditioner? Whassat?

(I never use it, because it clashes with our deodorants/perfumes/after shaves)

I never use perfume, deodrant is always non-perfumed and I only wear aftershave on a first date!

I don't use Fabric softener either - yuk

No I never use it. It was invented to prevent static cling in nylon clothes, but now it's marketed to "make your clothes smell/feel nice".

I'd rather spend the money on seeds
