I've just got all excited, my "Dobies" seed catalogue has just arrived (woo, hoo), on the back page there' a "Twin tomato", I for one have never seen this done before 2 varieties on 1 plant, fantastic for those of us that don't have tones of space, price (sucks air in through teeth) £12.95 plus £3.95 carriage contribution for 3 pot ready plants, brilliant idea not impressed with the price, I know technology cost's, but come on that's not far off £6.00 a plant.

Isn't it closer to £6 per plant?
(Don't trust my maths though; I've only had one, of the requisite 3 cups of tea, before I'm properly awake on a Saturday!)
Even then... blimey!
Definitely sounds like novelty pricing to me!!!
With anything 'brand new' I'm always tempted to wait a while to see if they can live up to the sell!
Early adopter?! Not me, Mrs!

Cool but HOW MUCH????? (she picks herself back up off the floor after falling off the works swivel chair) Are they offering to come round and tend the plants daily?
I am falbergasted (umm don't think I can spell either)Karen

It Say's " We've grafted 2 delicious tomato varieties onto one plant, so for the first time ever you can pick a bountiful crop of 2 mouth-watering varieties from one plant".
The varieties are:- "Dasher" a mini red plum & "Santorange" a mini orange plum. It also says the plants have extra vigour so there ready for picking earlier.

I'll stick with my early seed sowing - I'm trying the cuttings approach - i've taken 6 cuttings from some toms that I want to grow next year and overwintering.....
In fact, I went through 3 seed catalogues last week and I don't actually NEED any seeds for next year as I've already got more than enough......any that I do get will come from swapping or HSL....which reminds me I need to look at a list I was sent this week.......

You can graft your own tomatoes. You can even graft a tomato onto a potato, to get an above and below ground harvest off just one plantI was feeling part of the scenery
