    Overwintering tomatoes you say... ?

I was wondering whether it would be worth sticking a couple of plants on a windowsill inside over winter to see if I could get an early harvest off of them but decided this was just pure craziness.

Now I'm off to see if there are any bits I can save on mine! They are on their way out now and I'm planning on using the last of the toms in chutney this weekend so this might be just in time!

I'm not sure about taking cuttings etc. (although I did manage to get some side shoots that I took off my plants earlier in the season to take root and fruit!) are there bits that are best to nip off?

I'm not impressed by the fact that they are - to me - unknown varieties. They might all be dead bland - and then how annoyed would I be by the ridiculous price tag!

I just nipped from a growing tip - took about 3 inches and cut it back as you would a normal cutting....and stuck them into those 6-pack modules - one in each.

I'm with you flum on this one, I've never heard of them, although saying that they do look nice, but I like to grow things I know about or what I've been recommended by friends or grapes, I'm a bit sceptical that way. But at the price they are I don't even think I'd grow them even for the novelty value.
