Sounds Yum Piskie - my fave. We have a roast every weekend, even when we're away in the caravan. Roast free-range Chicken for us this evening My DH cooks it, but I do insist on having Yorkies with every roast, not just Beef!

I'm afraid I insist on Yorkshires with every roast, too. Pork today.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

As hazel said, not long now. I don't like eating alone at the best of times but, as you say, Sunday roast just isn't the same on your own. Hang on in there gal, he'll be home before you know it. x

I know what you mean Pisk. I love being home, but its a pita cooking a decent meal for one sometimes. Often go to bed after having coffee and French jaffa cakes for tea.

He'll be home soon though Mrs, Yorkshires all round, huzzah!!

I know what you mean Piskie, I struggled to do a roast for myself and the boys when Madmax was working abroad.

We are having pork and chicken today with roast spuds and JA's, home grown beans, yorkie puds (I agree they go with every roast) and cauli in white sauce.

Quorn roast for us today, OH is vegetarian, had roast pork at sisters last night with roasted butternut squash, roast potatoes, carrots, garlic cabbage and cabbage without garlic, yum yum yum, followed my mincemeat strudel and cream.
My mum always cooked a roast for herself on a sunday. small joint would last her a few days, cold or curried or however.

That roastie when he gets home will be sooo special. I'd have a bit of fresh horseradish alongside what with it being a very spesh one...

I'm with BLP on this one - it's hard to do when there used to be 2 and now there's 1 on their own. Maybe we should create a special roastie event every month so us solos can make a fuss and do it all just for one!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

What's the matter with this year - time has flown by! Tammy's pregnancy, SD's departure, both only seem like 5 minutes ago to me, now they'll soon be both over!
