Saw him do a talk at the GW show back in June, he came over well, looked healthy but didn't really say anything. Was rather disappointed really.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Apparently he's finally discovered that gardening's not about immaculate pruning, order and straight lines etc. a la Chelsea. He could have just asked us and saved himself the stroke!
He seems a nice bloke though. Glad he's on the mend.
I find it hard to believe anyone actually does think gardening's anything like Chelsea..

I don't think they do really
Chelsea is the Paris/London/Milan fashion shows of the Gardening world, people go watch them but no one would actually wear what is there, elements are taken from them and end up as what you see in the High Street.
Same as with Chelsea/Hampton Court/A.N.Other show I guess
Saw Sir Lord Messiah Monty on the One Show. Seemed very healthy considering, very upbeat and his usual enthused self.
Was promoting his new book which he wrote on the back of his illness and inability to garden/work on Gardeners World. The book shows the story of Berryfields I think (or a garden he's been working on for 20 years or so).
