I have a pile of client testimonials to upload to our site - they are very genuine even down to their typos and containing client names (with their consent).

My query, should I correct the typos or load them as is, in the state the client sent them to me?

I feel if I leave them in we will look dumb, but if I remove them - well, then they are changed and no longer genuine?

Tricky one; I'd possibly ask each individual if they want any typos correcting thus not saying that there ARE typos but that if there were; then they could easily be rectified.

You can't have typos on a Piskie website, can you?

Yes, If it's only spelling mistakes I would change them.

I'm afraid I'd have to change them too. I'm forever going back over and correcting posts I've submitted too quickly without checking them first. I can't bear it!!

Changing spellings does not change the sentiment of the comment or it's intentions. They (the clients) could have just as easily provided you with their endorsements over the phone...

I agree and if I was one of your clients I would rather any spelling mistakes were put right.

Thanks guys, I also take the view that the content isn't being changed, there is no creative editing going on - just putting apostrophe's's's' in the correct place, that sort of thing
