I work up to find we had been at war on Mafia Wars.......and you'd won, obviously.....

Ah, haha. It's nothing personal. There's an achievement for participating in a certain number of wars and another for winning a war. It doesn't affect your character atall so I didn't think you'd mind (at least you're someone with whom I actually have a dialogue), plus you get XP for fighting in it so everyone wins.

No, it is quaquaversal, Nicos just misunderstood how the game works and put quantaversal.

I didn't have one to hand and I don't like the idea of searching for one, I'd rather just come across one in something I'm watching or reading that takes my interest. Also, it's nice when other people share their words as I'm not exactly the omnipotent lexicographer.
I did find "contrarian", but didn't think it was special enough, and it's better if the word is posted in the morning so people get a full day's use out of it.
