What's happening this weekend?

Yay! After 3 years of wanting some shelves, I managed to put them up.
Got the wood off my brother last weekend and spent a portion of today varnishing them and putting them up.
And as you can see, I've filled them already.

Gherkins pickled with tarragon and chilli.
They were pretty good, they just look a bit odd.

I have had a lovely birthday w/e. Saturday was shopping - new plants from the garden centre for the front garden and new boots and outfit from a little place in town. Also a large M&S basket arrived - a great basket for harvesting with twin lids, this had a white rose, chocolates and champagne in, yum. Today has been lots of pressies and cards, calls and messages topped off with a swell lunch at a lovely restaurant. I am now chilling but contemplating a new venture tomorrow as I start a brand new part time job!

Well i managed to get the grass cut, empty my 2 compost bins & barrow it onto the one only empty veg bed, didn't managed to...
Plant Onion sets
plant Garlic sets,
plant shallot sets,
Plant about a million bulbs throughout the garden,
Clear out my dead / dying pots & baskets,
repot pots & baskets!

Not as odd as my pickled Chioggia beetroot. Mine looks like a pink alien lifeform!
