Yes, it's same line of work, kind of...not Drug Discovery in the sense I do it now, though.

I'll be researching the mechanism of Mucositis, the Mucosal Barrier Injury caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Currently, treatment is limited by the damage this causes. The remit is to see if we can regenerate damaged epithelium (intestinal tissue) and so prolong the treatment window and improve chances of success.

Ooh and guess what! In my interview I got chatting the my new Team Leader about GYO veg and home brewing! Yay!

On the minus side, I have literally only discovered this morning that there are sloes on my current work site. Am wondering if a third batch of sloe gin is too much!?
