  • When the girls are away...

It's amazing what I can get done.
In the last five days I have lifted 250kg potatoes (hand dug) Cleared out a heap of stuff from the tunnel, done my gardening work, made Chilli Jelly, Quince Jelly, Pear Honey, Pickled Beetroot, Pickled Red Cabbage and tonight I'm making Earthbabe's Special Green Tomato Chutney. Tomorrow night I'll be back on the Pear Honey as the walled garden suffering from 23 years of neglect that I am reclaiming has a huge pear tree hiding in the under/overgrowth and it's dripping with fruit. That reminds me, must get a camera looked out for tomorrow so I can start taking the before during and after piccies.
Only problem is the kitchen is a bit of a mess - bowls, pans, jelly bags, knifes, chopping boards etc all over the place.

amazing what you can accomplish when the girls are out from under your feet ain't it
Looking forward to the before and after pics...

Just make sure you clean the kitchen before the girls come back!
Sounds like you've been a very busy boy Rat, I'm exhausted just reading about what you've done! Pear honey sounds lovely too.
