It's frightening that people like this actually succeed in getting such power. They tend to all be the same though... if only there was no power for them to covet we wouldn't have to suffer their idiocy.

This factory is in the town nearest to us. The local paper said that the factory workers were asked for names of peeps around about 5ft 2" to go on stage behind him!

We can all rant and moan and say what a bunch of eejits they are (and they are!) but 'we' need to stand and be counted, vote with our feet and even man the barricades if we really want to make a difference!

I'd vote with my feet but the country I'd rather live in, Ireland, is even less likely to leave the EU than the UK is!

There's no better party to vote for (well, there is the libertarian party, but they won't be fielding enough candidates to win a general election for a long time) and I have serious doubt there will ever be enough outrage to end up with barricades. It's about America but a relevant quote from one Mr Franklin goes "When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."
Of course, we've never been a republic but the exact same thing applies here.

As long as we've got talent(less) shows on TV and people get their "benefits" nothing is going to happen.

It's pretty amazing to think that the American War of Independence was sparked off by THREE PERCENT tax.

I'm too old to man the barricades. Can I just continue to take the pies? After all it doesn't really matter who you vote for. The Government always wins.
