Yup Nico, he's the one with the dark hair, I've fancied him to win from day one, there's just something about him, he's not big headed like some of them have been.
I'm really surprised that Mariann got through, every time she cooks meat (or not) it moos or quacks when the try to cut it

Hmm- I know what you mean about her-
Her flavours have been superb all the way through- and she puts in sooo much effort- problem is that her presentation hasn't suddenly tweeked like the others have.
She's certainly a work-aholic and produces yummy food- but even I would have de skinned my broad beans!
I bet if she Googled some haut cuisine recipies on images she'd get some different ideas on presentation too!

I think Steve is the man for the title. Daniel gets too flustered and has a tendency to use too many ingredients, and Marianne has not mastered presentation at all, despite being a fine cook.

Yep, sure am. I prefer the first rounds to this bit. Good to keep the contestants on their toes. Thought the last two, who both got through to the last round had a much more difficult challenge to the others, or was that just me? Anyroad, up they both went through.
Im really not sure who will win. I like the girl, though though I reckon it will be one of the two guys who went through together.................?

Maybe I need HD, but I can't tell from the picture whether it's rare or not, or else veggieman and the black eyed one change their minds between courses. One of the chefs serves something rare and it's 'oh this is just right', then another serves it up rare and it's 'I can't eat that - it's raw'. I do miss Ludovic, the lovely French Welshman, I just loved waiting for the Welsh accent to escape into a French accented sentence. And his eyebrows and cooking were great too!

We've missed most of the show so far , although we did see the one where they BOTH went through.

So I'd never come across Marianne (?) before, but have to say she shone last night and certainly seemed a better chef. I appreciate though that pastries/desserts seems to be a strong point for her and a weaker one for the lads.

My favourite dish last night was the Tequila Trio! What a stunning idea Might just go and see if the recipes are listed ...

Only at home and only at weekends- but boy can he cook

Yup his team came second a couple of years ago..they did really well- and it was really really stressful for everyone- I've no idea how the guys in Masterchef stop themselves from trembling and messing up!
Duck breast hasn't been the same since then- I think we ended up trying about 10 versions of the same thing just to get it right.

We've opted for simple 'peasant' food over here!!!!!
