I think a lovely carved wooden Jewelery box would be lovely esp if you put a little something inside.

One wooden thing I use a lot is a carved letter opener from India - would be easily found in an Indian nick-nack shop. A wooden wind chime? Or a wooden back massager?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I once had an enormous Bamboo Wind-chime for Christmas, I adored the sound it made (It's nearly wood lol). Unfortunately, I left it out all year, and by the following winter it had cracked and made a nasty clacking sound! It went on the bonfire.

                  It's the thought that counts!

Some great ideas people, thank you.

Still not sure, but I have a better idea now - just need to pull my finger out and get something organised, especially with these bladdy Royal Mail strikes.

Can you go for a walk and look out for a piece of wood which sort of looks like a heart?
My daughter found a thin log with a dent in it and sawed a slice off it- and it was heart shaped. She's sanded it down and waxed it, and it looks really lovely. It wasn't a gift- just for her.

Maybe LW would appreciated the inventiveness of the gift??

or burn a heart shape into a bought bread board- and that's something you'd both use every day!

Like the idea. You never find something when you're looking for it though do you.

It'd be a bladdy long walk.

How about Welsh love spoons, they do specific ones for anniversaries etc.

Other than that I like the idea already suggested a couple of times of a wooden jewellery box with a little gift inside.

Oh Wayne- I've thought of a really soppy gift!!!!

                            Is LW soppy???

How about caving a heart in the bark of the oak tree in your garden???

It won't damage the tree- how romantic!!!

Can't really see our tree - it's behind the fence, and shed and the trunk is covered completely in Ivy - nice idea though.
