The good news is that I've sold my house and had my offer accepted on the new one.
The bad news is that it's a town 25 miles away - where I work. That means 25 miles away from my beloved lottie which I waited 14 months to get. I got it in March this year and have literally toiled blood, sweat and tears on it.
Like many new lottie owners it was in a right mess and I spent every spare moment (when not asleep or working) licking it into shape. It didn't have a shed so I bought one, it had a polytunnel frame but no cover so I did that too.
I've got masses of parsnips and leeks in there at the moment and some cabbage and brussels. the poly has winter salads in. I've had a bumper year of strawberries, peas, beans, sweetcorn, beetroot and onions. Not bad for my first year.
Now, someone else is going to get a very well looked after and productive lottie and I have to go on a waiting list again for gawd knows how long.
