Heard my first radio jingle with the christmas music this week, but our local GeeTees store (cheapy type store) had their christmas trees and decs in two weeks ago. Poor OH started to sell christmas cards/paper on his return from holiday in September!

Appreciate the little things in life because one day you will realise they are the big things
I Drive past Leicester Race Course every day, last year they had very big boards up advertising Christmas Partys in their function suites from August bank holiday.
Sorry guys, I love Christmas, but the ads etc and stuff out early in the shops is a bit much! Really cutting down this year and lots of homemade pressies etc

I'm going to sort out a human hibernation roost and go to sleep till March when the fuss will be all over! What's good for a bat is good enough for me!
LadyWayne works in view of 'arrods, and I remember one year she phoned me up to tell me it was snowing outside.
It was August!
As a publickery stunt, Mohammad Al Fired was in a horse drawn carriage with Brittany Murphy (who I had a bit of a thing for at the time), and LadyWayne sent me a photo of the debacle.
A friend of mine makes a point of going to Harrods' Christmas World every year as soon as it opens in August.
Not seen my first Xmas advert yet- but I don't watch much telly.
If I recall , it always used to be that Caesar dog food one which appeared first most years...until Argos started theirs a few years back!
I've got to write my cards next week so I can leave them in the UK for my mom to post- half the postage price compared to over here.
Not really in the mood yet ( says she with the sun pouring in through the window and blue sky above!)...actually it's a lovely morning walk through crispy leaves
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Aah, Christmas in August in 'Arrods - I remember it well - we had my MIL over from N Ireland a few years ago and we took her to the spectacle - she could not believe her eyes! (That was the year the cats got Harrods place mats and water bowls! All a gimmick).
I haven't seen a Christmas advert yet! I'm quite looking forward to it. It is nearly November, folks. Perfectly reasonable in my Christmas-loving view.
