So are we going to allow certain blasphemes & not others?
Can I use crap(quite mild)? & not s**t when both words mean the same & anyway when I type s**t you all know what I mean.

I either use the word, or use a different, often longer (and 'acceptable') word which has the same meaning (eg 'love child' which describes most politicians)

            Doubtful parentage is better.

No probs with the use of carp but do take the point that there are probably 1001 other words we could use without resorting to fake swearing.

Re the bored beans bit, actually find this rather annoying as it means that you won't find those threads on the search feature if you put in broad beans which could be a right pain if you were doing a general search.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Why do we find the need to swear when there are plenty of alternatives. Carp doesn't even relate to c**p in my mind wheras rubbish does.

I have led a sheltered life (looks up at the brolly) - I don't use swear words. There are far too many other words I could use. Trouble is, not everyone gets my drift!

I don't think it's turned on anymore, but personally, I'd rather they were self-censored like that. Quite a lot of folks don't appreciate seeing the 4 lettered words scattered around willy-nilly

When referring to a politician, "totally unknown parentage" is more accurate, or 'parents only met the once'.
