What kind of complete numpty complains about bees "getting out"?
I wonder how many people have been stung "just for being there" and how many have been stung after stressing a bee out.

To the best of my knowledge, foraging honeybees are pretty docile having more important things on their minds, like pollen and nectar.

Well I can see that she ought to have screen all round so that the bees only 'leave home' at fairly high level (and in that case she might get complaints about the screens cutting daylight to nearby plots), but really, do these idiots imagine that if her bees were not there no 'visiting' bees would come round? If there were no bees, there could be no fruit, peas, beans, tomatoes, courgettes, peppers......
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Well "Hive" had a word........ARF ARF!!.

Tis a bit silly but i think the argument goes further in that i think under our local council rules bees are classed as livestock. It has been mentioned that the honey produced is being sold in a local independent grocers shop, i personally have no problem with this but it kicks up the old chant "why cant i sell my crops then".
I understand the importance of them and they never really bother me but probably would if i was on an adjacent plot
So i`m totally one the fence like i am with all allotment politics
