Oh dear. I was so sure it would be raining. I had planned to stare at the soggy garden and bemoan the fact. As it is the sun is shining. The sky is blue so what's my excuse today. Methinks if I sit here wondering long enough it will be too dark as well.

I'm half packed to go to the UK- the house needs cleaning and the chooks to have their thorough clean out...I've been outside about 10 times already and stood in the sunshine- walked past the ironing pile and the pile of pears which need something doing to them....and just can't find the enthusiasm to do them. Am I excited about seeing family and friends again???...YUP- but just want to be there now- not preparing to go.
Think I'll put the kettle on ...again!

I'm so glad its not just me. I can't get motivated to get down to the lottie, despite encouragement from Samwise, who loves to come and help. I blame the weather, and the dark nights, and the early mornings, and the fact I just want to stay in bed and sleep, and............................

I think I've had swine flu (along with everyone in the family) - just felt cr@p for days and days. First day "out" today and actually had some energy to do some work for once.

Got the GH ***** fluid-ed inside and out, moved and relaid a couple of slabs, planted some broad beans and sweet peas, cleared the runner bean bed (and have the pretty pink kidney beans drying off as I type) and even managed a quick hack with my lovely horses Benson....

can hardly move now though!

Ooh SN well done- can you pop some in an envelope and send it down my way? (postal strike is off!!) I have so much work to do and I don't even have an excuse that I have had flu - just a little cold recently. Guilt makes it even worse.

aye but i am cream crackered now! so not actually sure it was all worth it! and what's worse is OH seems to be poorly again so it'll be down to me tomorrow to do the kids, chickens, horses, sheep, cats and dog.......and mop his fevered brow too no doubt!!!
