I've just been caught pinching used tea bags from work for the compost trench. There I am emptying our used teabag caddy into a carrier bag to bring home and someone walks into the kitchen How embarrassing
Not in the least, I got caught stealing the empty drinks cans (left after a meeting at work) the other day. We can't recycle them at work (for some reason), so I was taking them home to do it myself. Renegade Recycling - I like it!!
Absoloutly, you should be proud of yourself Bex not embarrased.

I used to collect paper from work back in the 80s to recycle. I caught my boss chucking it out one day as he didn't think it was worth it. We used to go through tons and tons as we printed out test results every day.
I'll bet nowadays the same bloke grows his own and recycles everything; I'd love to remind him of his misdemeanors but I have no intention of visiting in the near future.
I'm an uncrontrolable skip raider.
The council are doing up the frontages of all the houses (all private owned!) along my street, so there are always skips out. If I pass one with some good bricks, planks or pipes in I'll be pinching it all even if I'm in my suit.
Now I just need to find a use for it all.

I take home the used coffee grounds from the cafe at work. Also pallets when they have brochures delivered . Although at work they're big on recycling and I can help myself from the skips I still feel like I 'm skulking and looking over my shoulder .
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber
I don't peg my used tea bags on the line to dry but I have been drying them on some netting so I can stuff them into the bottom of toilet rolls to kick off carrot and parsnip seeds early next year.
If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess

What a good idea.
Do you put just one in each loo roll middle?

Haven't done it yet, but my thought was to use them as a plug at the bottom of the loo roll to hold in the compost.
It does work but its easier to put them in the loo roll wet. I have also started seeds off in t-bags.........that's the yorkshirman coming out again.
