With the sad events that have been unfolding on the T.V and Radio, Its hard to imagine what the families of these brave Men and Women are going thru.
How will you be remembering the Men and Women of our Armed Forces who have laid down there lives to protect use, in past and ever so present conflicts?

My OH (Ex Army) and myself will be attending our local memorial with friends and family.

I will be wearing mine as always, even though Bean is determined for me not to. He has a thing about tearing them off, so I've bought more than usual this year.

I shall be wearing mine, especially as a colleague at work is married to the cousin of one killed this week. I also make the point of scattering some poppy seeds around the garden (and occasionally elsewhere too), because when they germinate it is always a sight to be proud of.

I've got three, one for me (on my bag now), one in the front of the Landie and a sticker in the back. Not going anywhere as too much to do but a minute's silence.....

Remembering those lost in the the past and hoping they'll bring the rest back

I will be wearing mine as always.
Although I don't exactly agree with what our "boys"(& girls) are being asked to do.
It's our government I have a problem with & not our armed forces.

My Grandad was in the Army, and my Uncle was in the RAF, and although I don't have first-hand knowledge of what it was like in a forces family, I'm still wearing my Poppy with pride. Our government doesn't do enough for the Forces, either when they're serving or retired.

We usually go into town and stand near the memorial, have walked along with daughter when she was in the guides. I think its important for the young to take part in these parades.
Today on Alan Titchmarsh show someone asked why hasn't Gordon Brown or the defence minister attended any of the funerals of those killed, indeed WHY not.

There could be a problem here I think it would have to be "all or none" GB being PM is a very busy man and I think it would be impossible for him to attend all funerals. But I do think someone from the government should attend(IF WANTED)

I think the same as Jackie J, at the very least there local M.P should attend.

Will be going to St Georges Hall. The kids go with cadets every year. Its so touching seeing all the old guys with their medals and berets. Always brings tears to my eyes. Now there are also younger men and women too on leave and some recently left service. And the young ones also, still at school, who have not yet seen service.
Its always freezing cold, and often belting down with rain, and yet it still draws so many who want to pay their respects.
I was named after my uncle who died in WW2, so I literally carry the memory every day of my life.
