    Second claim to fame;

My Great Uncle (one of many), invented the process for metal plating non-metallic things. So for example, when you see brooches that are made out of real leaves that are silver plated, well, he invented that. He gave all his sisters a small silverplated pinecone on a chain, which are slowly being passed down the family.

      OK, here goes:

I went to school with some of the Warburtons (as in Bakers Born and Bred), plus the daughter of Stu Francis, who was on our school's PTA. A thoroughly nice chap!

I lived next door to Paul Nicholls (real name Greenalgh) until I was 11/12. He played the depressing guy in Eastenders with the whiny mum.

My sister used to drink with Peter Kay, in Halliwell, Bolton.

I have had intimacies with one of the Vets in Practice Leonard brothers, but I'm not saying which!

I served Jim Davidson and John Virgo at the charity dos at Gatton Manor. Got insulted by Neil Ruddock on the same night and other footballers stuck up for me. My current OH still wants to deck Neil 'Self-sex-specialist' Ruddock after all this time. It was quite nasty, though.

I did meet the Queen and Prince Philip and remember thinking, 'All that money and hiss coat is all bobbly'. Well, I was only 11!

The depressing guy - that doesn't narrow it down much in Enders!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Posting something on another thread just reminded me...I have presented an annual Headway award (for brain injured people) at the Savoy a few times, and each time, it's a very grand occasion, with a bevy of c-list slebs. Too many to list them all, but the very nicest one was Gordon Kaye, who was one of the loveliest people I've ever met at that kind of thing.

                Ooh, ooh, just remembered.

Took LadyWayne to The Waterside Inn for her 30th. We were sat outside our suite, sipping Champagne and watching the world row by (on the Thames you see), and then Michelle Roux (Snr) popped his head round the corner (he was checking up on the gardeners), he said "hello, how are you?" we replied, and only realised who he was when he'd gone.

On a slightly related note - LadyWayne took me to Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons for my 30th (seeing a pattern?) and we were sat on a table next to Clive Anderson and some friends. What a pillock.

                  You're money's safe.

As G4 rightly pointed out - I am indeed 5ft 19 (I'm actually about 5ft 20 today as I have my Doc Marten boots on).

A second hand one I know, but a friend of mine saw Colin Farrell on Byres Road in Glasgow yesterday, went up to him and asked if he would write something on her FB wall (she's a 6ft blonde so gets away with doing things like that) - and he did!

LOL! Well, in the soap, they were also from Bolton. Don't remember much about the storyline, but he was suicidal (not sure if he went through with it). His Mum had a poodle hair do, like Brian May with too much oestrogen.

Actually, his real Mum did too, ha ha!

Becki, he was the middle one. Not Steve and not Keith and I'm shutting up now.

                                I loved The Prisoner.

I was sad to hear that Patrick McGoohan had died earlier this year.
