It looked awesome didn't it? And anyone else not know that you had to pick pears and leave them before they ripened? Explains why my parents pears from the tree in their garden are always as hard as bullets.
I did forget and was channel hopping and tuned in just as he was brandishing an ox tail, yuk!! not good for a veggie so tuned out again.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
Good to see Hugh back on form with a proper River Cottage programme instead of try to teach/convert people.

I so agree, I can't abide it when he invites vegetarians onto the program to force them to eat eat meat- what a misunderstanding of their views.
There were a lot of groans and omgs in our house when he made offal stew - good viewing! and as for eating oats out the cow trough? Hugh will need a good dose of pripsin(threadwormer?) after that!
Anyone know when it's repeated we only have freeview and no broadband?? Was at a school thingy last night

To be fair he didn't try and force anyone, as I recall they were veggies who had been put off meat for various reason and actually wanted to try and meat again. But as for sharing the cow's brekkie - that was just disgusting.
