In-laws over to celebrate a couple of Birthdays, so we've got a large roast Leg of Lamb, roast home-grown spuds, yorkie puds, and various veg.

The blimmin yorkies smell sooooooo good!

Just washing it all down with some home made bramble wine.

All cooked/brewed and mostly grown by me
Pear and almond cake sounds wonderful - how do I find the recipe please?

I have made a big batch of pumpkin soup for lunches next week, and am roasting a green pumpkin thing I grew with some onion ginger and sultanas a la Nigel Slater.
I am sooooooo hungry smelling it!

I couldn't be bothered to make the bases, done it before, but it's easier, cheaper and tastier just to buy them.
Y'see that's where having an almost-toddler is useful (bit early for you and Ms Black Pudding/Pickled Egg to be talking about though). I put all the pizza base stuff in a bowl, and ask her if she wants to play with the 'playdough.' 10 minutes later, pizza dough's ready.

Tonight it is cheese and onion tart, with beetroot and mayo salsa and salad. Might do a little savoury-ish rice on the side if I can be arsed.

Tonight I will be mostly eating Caribbean Chicken casserole that's been in the slow cooker all day. Don't know all the ingredients as LadyWayne did it - but I know it includes pineapple and peaches.

Tonight I'm going to have a nice simple dinner. Eggplant with a spicy cheese, onion and bacon topping served with a nice crisp salad! Slice the eggplant length wise, fry both sides in just a little olive oil till cooked. Eggplant will soak up plenty of oil so use a good nonstick pan, that way you can get away with using less oil. Gently fry a little onion and bacon, season with a little salt and plenty of black or mixed pepper, a little chili and any herbs you like! I’m going to use basil. Drain fat from onion and bacon mix spread over eggplant, top with grated cheese and place under fairly hot grill till cheese has melted. Serve and enjoy!

Love like you never loved before!

Tonight we will have Quorn meatballs with roasted veg - peppers, onions, mushrooms, achocha, chilli and garlic. Tomato and chilli sauce over spagetti. Blueberry yogurt for pud. Plus a big glass of OJ to wash it down.

Just used the extra pastry to make grape jelly tarts [like jam tarts]. Yum!

Last night Mrs TK cooked indian; biryani chicken and a squash and coconut curry with naan bread....she doesn't eat meat, so only had the curry, but I polished off the rest for lunch today.
Tonight, she is cooking pears, rocket, roquefort cheese and walnut salade to start followed by veal saltimbocca...shes having sole goujons...and frites! Yum...cant wait! Obviously with a lovely glass of cotes de rhone...or two!
