I've bought him some D.V.D,s, C.D,s, a new Blue Ray d.v.d player/recorder, I really am at a loss some years what to buy him, I was looking at booking for use to go in a log cabin for Christmas, but we have my dad and the old lady from across the road round for dinner, so that's a none runner.

I'm right with you there Kirsty
It's the OH's 40th this year just beore christmas, and I thought I had something worth quite a bit of money which I was going to sell and get him tickets for the British GP. Unfortunately, I'd been misled and so if he's lucky, I might be able to get him a new mobile phone. If he's unlucky, it'll be a new address

When our children were growing up we went through a very mean and lean time. We devoted our time and what little money we had to them. As the years went on we never returned to exchanging christmas gifts and we still only give 'token' ones at birthdays.

My OH would love to have a beehive (with bees obviously), so I might get him the Barefoot Beekeepers book.
The Barefoot Beekeeper: Amazon.co.uk: P. J. Chandler: Books
or possibly the Self Sufficientish Bible:
Amazon.co.uk: self-sufficientish bible
or if he's been really good - maybe both!!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
