My reason for not liking the dark evenings---
this year I have started to hate driving in the dark - I have a dangerous 7 min drive along a dark country (fast) road. Two road closures already this year both nasty accidents....

I am going to try and knit a jumper over the winter!!!! that should keep me out of trouble - if I can stay awake long enough!

ps Two Sheds I have just got some Medlar wine on the go....????? it looks vile

I know the feeling Bigmally - I hate this time of the year!! I work funny shifts too, so sometimes I finish at 3 pm and sometimes at 10 pm. No time to do gardening after either of them. Check out the Vine, play Scrabble on Facebook, eat (if I can be bothered to cook) and look forward to Spring.

I get home from school with Nor, and its starting to get dark...if we happen to go to the playground first....its definately dark at 430pm!

Paul works from 2pm til midnight so I usually do housework, sometimes cook sometime sit on comp, (I sell books on Amazon,)or write and IF I am *really really* stuck I watch TV, esp if its Thursday at 8...

I am usually too tired to be really creative at night..

I'm so bored that I'm.......no I'm too ashamed to admit it......OK then, I'm cutting out little squares of gingham and hemming the edges so they make covers my homemade jam pot lids and look rustic when they're sitting in the cupboard that no-one but OH and I enter. Worse, I have labels in two different colours and so I'm doing two colours of gingham to match. (Red and green if anyone's interested and/or hasn't fallen asleep yet)
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I've got zillions of things to do, no chance of boredom and if I finished all them then I've got loads of books to read and films to catch up on which I've recordered months back. Don't specially like dark evenings as it means I can't get to the lottie all week but it does mean that I appreciate the light ones when we get them rather than taking them for granted. For the same reason I don't mind rubbish weather so long as we get sunshine too.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

My CDs are always in alphabetical / chronological order but the DVDs are mainly OH's so are all over the place. Have had a lot of stick over the years for the CD thing (apparently it's odd for a girl) but it makes them so much easier to find and at least I can see what I've got.

I dislike dark mornings and evenings too. Personally though, I'd get a whole lot more done if I didn't keep turning on the bladdy Poota!

That said, we've loads of stuff to sell on eBay, I just can't be *rsed to do it! A few wet days in a row, and no work, then I'll get round to it. Or knowing my luck we'll have no blimmin internet that day

(Fingers crossed, it's been fine recently - touches wood too )
