I watched a little bit of the programme & thought 'my head hurts', about 32cm is close enough for me!
I've read one or two articles on similar ideas & always get lost & end up thinking 'what does it matter as long as it does the job you want it to?' I did physics O Level years ago & have no idea how I passed as I could never quite grasp the constantly moving molecules/atoms etc.Into every life a little rain must fall.
