Christmas fete, what would you buy?

I usually buy books, (if there are any I like)
Jams or preserves, cakes, produce (if there is any) maybe plants?


All your ideas sound great, I would probably spend a fortune at your fayre!!

I'm another fan of buying edibles!

At our last school Spring fayre,i did a stall where kiddies could decorate a strip of paper which I then taped around a cheap plastic pot that they'd filled with compost & sown some marigold seeds in.(they were for Mothers Day)I then wrapped them in cellophane & a ribbon.
I was really surprised how well they sold,you could substitute the seeds for some spring bulbs.
