Thanks a million for all the support and votes and good wishes. We're off now - it's not easy to type with my fingers crossed!

Only just caught this, so I've missed voting - really sorry Vicky. Hope you win, then you might meet my FIL. He's in charge of the baggage system. He's worked for London Marathon for many years (he used to be in charge of the start as well, but he's trying to reduce his work load), was Chairman of BARR, and risk-assessesessess and helps set up loads of runs all over the world.

Howl! No news We sat in La Tasca having a very nice lunch, but with the stubbornly non-ringing telephone sitting on the table like one Harry Potter's dementors.
Everyone's wondering what's going on, nobody has idea what the delay is. My heart's been in my mouth all day and I've been obsessively taking my phone to the loo for heaven's sake - this is not my idea of a relaxing day off!!!
Tomorrow's our last day of leave, then it's back to work on Thursday. Hubby and I were both already stupidly stressed out - it's been a really horrible few months for loads of reasons, and we really needed these three days to chill out and spend some time together.
I've promised him that tomorrow I'll leave the phone switched off and it will be "us" time. Let's face it, if I've won then they're not going to decide to give it to someone else just because they couldn't get hold of me for a day. Here's the thread - do me a favour, if they announce it then somebody PM me? I'll get the e-mail even with the phone on silent, and yes I know that makes me a bad person, but what hubby doesn't know won't hurt him!

Oh no Hash! Poor you, you sound really strung out!
I'll check the page for you periodically tomorrow, and I'm sure others will too.
Suggestion; if anyone spots anything and PMs Hashette, please post on here that you have done so, and then we don't inundate her
Hope you manage to have a peaceful day hon xx

Morningish.....
Well that was possibly the worst night's 'sleep' I've had in a long time, and that's against some pretty stiff compeition for that title! I decided to be good and not switch the computer on, but in the end it was pointless so I started having a read back.
Oh boy there's one sour grape (not a Grape I hasten to add) on there!
Not sure if I'll be up to doing anything useful today, just as well I've got the day booked off work.

Thanks Hans Mum
Change of plan as I'm no use to anyone. I have the most understanding hubby on the planet - this has pretty much ruined our time off, if I get it then it's only the beginning of what he'll have to put up with.
We've agreed that as my head will be elsewhere and I'm yawning what's left of it off anyway, we may as well cancel this morning's plans, so I'll be around when RW puts everyone out of its misery one way or the other. Then we're off to our favourite pub - if anyone's from round my way, I can't rave enough about the Pig and Abbot. It's everything a country pub should be - roaring log fires with squashy armchairs in front of them, about six different real ales, and the landlady is the most fabulous cook on earth.
If there's a better way to either celebrate or drown our sorrows, I can't imagine it.Last edited by Hashette; 25-11-2009, 08:35 AM.
