I'd have killed OH if he'd proposed to me in front of his family, perhaps as well she was happy to say yes although wise it would have been very awkward!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Awww, that's lovely Jackie! I've got a little tear in my eye too
And I second whoever said up there ^ ^ - he must be very well brought up to speak to his future in-laws before-hand so that they didn't feel left out. She's a lucky girl

He wanted to ask her dad face to face but her dad works abroad and couldnt get home cos of the weather, son rang her mum and said but I need to speak to him before saturday, so her dad rang him. He was begining to panic as he wanted to do it properly. Her mum sent my son a text asking what if she say's no, that panicked him again. His friend had the ring hidden at his house in a safe, and brought the cake over.
We are all over the moon including daughter as she cant wait to be bridesmaid.

Jackie, that's great news. Its good to hear good news when so much is going wrong for so many people what with the flooding and people loosing their jobs.
                Long may the happiness last.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Excellent news Jackie - good lad!

Thankfully his fiancee' isn't a murderous sort like our Alison and you still have a son and a wedding to look forward to.

I'll raise a glass to your son-dude and his wife-to-be.

                  Great stuff.
