I needed to move it anyway as I couldn't mow down the side of it (not such good planning!) Still every cloud, I might be able to persuade the wife to let me use the area as a raised bedCheers

Gonna hopefully make them out of some beds slats I've got in the garage, just need to purchase some corner posts with grooves.
With post some pictures If I ever get around to finishing them!Cheers

WOW, they look great Broadway, what ya thinking of sowing in them??
I had some sleepers bought for a raised bed plus a real green house, I'm still waiting on OH to cut some of them to size so I can crack on with them, plus help me put the green house up, meanwhile I still have my smaller bed to grow things in and my plastic green house. I'm so jealous of your raised beds

Thanks, I must have been tired this morning, I meant scaffold boards, obtained free from next door!
1st one has rhubarb in.
2nd will probably be for asparagus.
3rd will be dwarf beans this year.Cheers

Originally posted by greengas View PostI have same kind of tunnel off ebay, mine took off last year when first assembled so I emailed the seller he sent me new poles and instructions to assemble. Basically you have to hammer home wooden supports on each corner and cable tie tunnel poles to them also dug a trench down each side to bury the plastic.
Last year I had scaffold boards weighing it down, this year I have paving slabs over the over lapping thingy at the bottom. To be fair it was fairly secure last year however that particular night the wind was unbelievable.
Are you gonna use yours throughout the winter as well?Cheers

My wife doesn't mind me taking over the garden as long as I leave space for the washing line and the dog!!
Hence why the patio is her domain, fair trade off me thinksCheers
