  • Lunch Swap

Most of the time I take a packed lunch to work, today it's home made veg soup. Why is it that when I look in the communal fridge, everyone else's lunch looks better/more appetising/more satisfying, etc., than mine? I could have murdered someone's ham, cheese and pickle wrap.

I made lottie soup at the weekend; which included a serious amount of peas and beans that had been taking up freezer space.

To say it probably has a week's worth of 5 a day portions is putting it mildly.

I wouldn't dare eat it in an office!!!

My best lunches were in Luton when a nearby restaurant used to make Halliumi Wraps for me; goodness knows you needed something to keep you going on a day in the Luton Office.

The worst was when a new cafe place opened up across the road; I went in for an egg mayo roll; and he had the eggs in his hands and was fondling them. I ask if they actually had any egg mayo up and running or was he going to have to actually cook the eggs first - he looked at me sheepishly and I turned tail and left. Sheesh!

Have a blind swap with your colleagues - so that no ones knows what they are getting

I've just had a roasted sweet potato with baked beans, covered in cheese, sprinkle of cayenne - I may need to sleep shortly

I'm having a cup of soup, then a diet-hot choccie. I've got a dress I want to get into at Christmas.

I suggested giving a pound to charity and all of us filling a take away container with lunch and then kind of swapping, but they're all mardy ssess and will not play!
