my 5 yr old is SUCH a good boy!

Another story from him - he is priceless!

He opened his advent calandar this morning and ate the chocolate pronto.Little bro was still being dressed so I asked him if he could find the number and get the choccie out for him (he is only 2 and we don't have all day to faff about with the little doors lol).

He does this and I take no notice except when littlun appears for his breakfast I look at his place and there is no chocolate on it.

'Oh no' I says, 'you've eaten his chocolate' assuming that he had popped it in his own mouth as a reward for helping.

He gives me this look that only an indignant 5 yr old can achieve and said 'Of course I haven't mummy, it's in the packet, I have only opened the door for him, I wouldn't dream of eating someone else's advent chocolate!'

This articulation - from a 5 yr old! And such restraint. I have to confess, had it been me I would have probably eaten it!

What a nice lad! My youngest once took the back off his brothers calender, ate all the chocs and tried to stick the back piece on again! You have MUCH nicer children than I do

We bought two advent calendars, one for our six year old and one for our two year old.
The six year old opened the correct door this morning, removed choc and nibbled at it to make it last.
Our two year old ripped the cardboard halfway down and stuffed as many chocs into his mouth as he could before we could stop him.
I guess there's a lesson for us all there, as you get older you learn to pace yourself !

as for the advent calendar thing - well, lets just say that I AM OVER THE MOON that he has finally been able to start it! He has gone on and on and on and on about it....

My 2 year old did have a mahoosive paddy when I took the advent calendar away so he couldn't a)rip it up and b) eat all the choccies in one go!
Just goes to show you never get 2 children the same lol

We had those. Only had one though so we had to take turns to open a door. I remember being so excited when it was my turn
