      • Ok now I feel really bad. My SECOND SS gift has arrived. Lots of lovely beans, all the ones I wanted to plant out at my Dads for drying etc. Thankyou so so so much. Choccys were yummy too

Before giving - I panic about what to get.
While giving - I curse the wrapping and the sellotape
After giving - I worry that the gift will please.

                Buddha - no, just me!

                • From the reaction on the Vine- I think my recipient was happy with my gift??

OK- but I gave a SS over here ( ex-pats)- a choice of 3 things- and I could see the pretend happy face she gave. Good gal- she clearly did her best- and I did exactly what she asked...but I was left with a sense of failure.

sort of left me with a feeling like I don't want to play next year!

Edit- I love to give- but hate the feeling of failure

Um.... *feels mega-foolish now*... I sent them There was supposed to be a note in with them, saying "Here's those beans we were talking about" etc. Heaven knows what I did with the note though Must have ended up in the parcel with my sister's Chrissie presents instead! She'll be looking at chocolates and smellies, thinking "Eh? Beans?!"

Glad someone else felt the same way, even though I'd checked out a few of my SS posts to get some idea about the sort of things they liked it was still a odd/worry to actually go out and buy the gift.

I'm sure my SS knew a bit about me and how I'd got a greenhouse only a few months ago and just what I was hoping to grow this year

Oh I *did* my checking - but while I know the gift arrived I have no idea if it was liked.

                                Ah well, intention is all......
