TS once told me to net my brassicas. I didn't and lost the whole crop to caterpillars.

I learnt to ignore the advice of a guru at my own cost!

oh yes Ollie - several years ago I took a flier on netting, within a couple of days (when I got back to the garden and was ready to net!) my sprouts were bare stalks
