      Oi you lot!
I'm a December birthday and have had many 'combined' birthday/ christmas presents over the years ( usually the Birthday card just gets forgotten totally).
Whilst I don't take offense or feel particularly hurt, it is always a really welcome treat when BOTH are remembered individually.
You'll get a lot more brownie points for 2 cards

        Hi Incy,

My wife always get 2 cards and 2 lots of presents I'm just getting a bit pi**** off with the price of some cards hence the question about the joint card, I'd rather put the money towards her presents.

Anyway I've had a chuckle over some of the replies even If I'm back to two cards:-)
        Cheers

You could reduce the cost by making the cards yourself.
It's not hard you just need to find some fun pics to print off and stick on and get some stiff card as your base.

When my boys were small I even took the christmas decorations off the christmas cake and swapped for birthday ones for my birthday as no one thought about getting a cake. They asked me where my cake was, too small to understand mum didnt make one for herself.
I dont want an expensive card ( or presents ) and nice ones can be found if you look, I just want to be treated the same as everyone else who's birthday's fall in the summer months. My neice and myself say we are going to have a birthday party in the summer but never get around to doing it.

I would second the 'make cards' suggestion. It really isn't that difficult these days if you are even computer semi-literate!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
