Freecyclling

Hello have you heard about Freecycling. I have just joined the Waveney group and my Diary is full. I am out collecting and giving away items all day tommorow.

Wood, Paint, Bikes anything in fact except I am not allowed to give my mother away!

I have already met some nice people and made lots of contacts for the future.
I have found a regular recipiant for my Scrap wood turning logs, and my Wood working and tree felling gleanings.
Today I collected some lovely stained leaded glass.

Great fun and worth getting into just to meet like mined people.

We have been involved in the Loughborough group since last Autumn, firstly giving, and now asking (but not having got the garden roller yet! )
Isn't it great though? The idea of cutting out capitalism really suits my philosophy and sharing is fun. I thought most people on this forum were aware of it, but it's worth spreading the good word.

I love giving things away and getting Free things back. You meet some nice people too.

I am on three groups Croydon, Merton, Sutton....have given more than I have taken...Only taken 3 distbins for Compost storage.

Is that just the way though. It is much better to give. Better than land fill.
I have just got a load of paint for our community to get the youths painting Murals.

I love bartering I prefer that to hard cash.

Sometimes though

You do wonder.

As I did yesterday when a member of the Harlow Freecycle group posted an offer (paraphrased) of "Prawn Crackers, four bags collected over the past fortnight, came free with our takeaways and we do not like them.".
