Well Brengirl, I'm at home now and I can tell you the lovely sunny day has turned cold and dull and I am looking out on an open field belonging to a school with a big chestnut tree in the middle surrounded by hedges. Just in the distance there is the spire of an old church. At night time the spire is lit up and its lovely.
Nobody who saw my view would think I live just a few miles from the capital city.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

There is supposed to be snow here next week and down to -5 or so. That was the talk in work on Friday.

I'm guessing that's on the TV Bob - if not, pop in here on the way back (we're only an hour or so North of there)

Well it's just about cold enough for snow here - and we did have a few spots of rain earlier. There's always hoping!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Yup on the box Scarey, but how far are you from Foix? Good mate of mine has just moved down there, in the Ariege (sp), I think its the 29.
I will be popping down early in the new year, if you're on the way I'll pop in, although will probs have my dog with me.

Thankyou Bramble for that wee insight into your view. I can see it now just as you describe.

My OH loves it when it snows. He says it makes everyone's garden look the same.

Well, the snow didn't come to much here the other day, but we have woken up once again to a very frosty morning, white everywhere, but there is snow now forecast for tomorrow night and Thursday!

Bleak and dreary is how I would describe it here in dorset. The sky seems to be drifting about treetop level. Not a pretty sight and it's so dark indoors. I never ever draw curtains. I don't really know why but maybe I hate the feeling of being closed in but that's what it feels like today.

Snow, Brittany... is that supposed to include Friday? We get off the boat early Friday morning to drive to Toulouse (I think it is Caen this year, sometimes we have to go via Cherbourg).......
