CB and His Lordship got ours (a Nordmann) yesterday while I was trudging the streets getting research material (questionnaires - yuk) for my end of diploma project. Got home to find it in and decorated, it's lovely.

CB went to Luton today and should be doing Grandma's tree about now as she's staying there until Thursday.

Don't worry Brengirl,
I think it will look lovely just outside our front door with lights on it. It simply doesn't lend itself to decorations like baubles as the branches are too vertical for them to dangle. It won't be neglected just employed differently and as it will be at the front it will have pride of place making our house look christmassy
I love your story by the way although at 9ft tall I don't think it can really be described as little

It's the thought that counts.....so pleased that the tree has a place of honour. Just hoping that it snows lol

So all in all we all have happy christmas trees. Yay.

Incy, I'm sure your 1st tree will be very happy being at the front of house. At 9ft tall I think it must be an Erin Connor type of beauty and won't be at all jealous of the 'inny tree' plus I hear snow is on the way for some parts

Mines tucked up safely in the corner, happily leaning at a rather jaunty angle!
