  • Coconut vs Marmite poll

OK a silly poll but it might have something to it. Being in a minority with friends and work colleagues I conducted a straw poll amongst seven of us. Six of the 7 LIKE Coconut but DON'T like Marmite, I am the opposite way around.

Could it be that there is a scientific reason for this?

What would the advertisers make of it if true?

Please don't turn this into a love / hate marmite thread (we've had those before I recall) vote honestly and who knows we might make it into next year's British Medical Journal's Xmas edition.

    I like's both
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

I love both, but not together at the same time.

As for the BMJ xmas edition, I can remember a few years ago someone did a study on the migration/disappearance of teaspoons from the tea room, it made very interesting reading

OK I'm challenging everyone to eat them at the same time. I am now going to make some coconut ice glazed with marmite. Will report back later.

I can't stand desecrated coconut either.

I remember that study Kernowyon, I was particularly interested as I'm the manager who ends up with all the teaspoons!
