I think I've become a soil bore.
Since having my allotment I have noticed this creeping in, but it was pointed out to me on a recent trip to Centre Parcs (I had tried to supress the memory, but it darned just came back to me).
Whilst there, some dudes were doing some maintenance work that required them to dig up some of the ground (I think it was bollards), and I found myself uttering the words "wow, now that's good looking soil - look at the colour of it!".
I had to walk 10 paces behind the rest of the group for the rest of the day wearing a pair of reindeer antlers.
