  • braving the ice!

So I had to go out. OH hit his toe last night and it's gone all black so he can't walk. We can't get the car out of the drive cos of the snow and ice. OH has not got his dad anything yet for xmas (or me either I imagine but hey ho), so I had to go to the local shop to see what I could find, sill suffering from my chest infection and had to push the buggy with toddlie in to make sure I didn't fall over. But couldn't get the damned buggy over some of the hard icy patches and think I have pulled something in my back again shoving it about!
Took me an hour to get to the local shop and back.

Not happy. Why do I agree to do these things?!

Our little roads like an ice skating ring, which isn't made much better with the kids in the street sliding down it, I walked back up it last night in the we small hours....that was fun in high heels, but my friends wouldn't let me put my red hunter wellies on, something about they wouldn't look right with a dress!!!!!!

I biked up the lotty, posted some parcels and got a paper: stuck to main roads, cos they don't grit the bike lanes or side roads.

Hardly anyone about, it was lovely

I have been known to carry a bag of salt with me and sprinkle it as I walk, by the time I walk home ice has melted.

And I have had to go out again as hung a pressie on my little boy's friend house and just found out they are away - so had to go pick it up!

Having takeaway delivered - told driver NOT to park on the drive as he won't get off again.

                Janey,

I bought myself one of these back stretchers last summer for when I overdo it and my back gives me gyp. I wouldn't be without it.

I bought some ice trax last year. I knew the snow and ice would go as soon as they were delivered, and it did

Darned if I can find where I put them in Chateau Chaos though

You could wrap some rubber bands round your wellies for grip: should be lots of little red ones, all over the pavement

Internet shopping is the way to go! Or dig out summer's fruit glut from your freezer. I've just made Damson Jam which will go in with presents.
