Personally I find this time of year really hard too. It makes me feel low and lonely because according to the 'powers who be' this is THE one time of year when you HAVE to be surrounded by loved ones regardless of whats going on your life.

For me my family and i don't get on most of the time (currently on going) and my GrandMa's dead so she can't be here, plus being self employed I hate having a 2 week break forced on me when it's cold and dark and I need the money so my self esteem hits the floor too.

Working away from home is not fun - horrid hotel rooms and no one to talk to - so I'm sure your man would rather work closer to home.

Maybe a bit of fake tan, plucked eye brows, new haircolour done over a bottle of wine with a couple of close girlies will help. Especially if you meet him at the door with a smile and not much else to help show off your new 'do'

having a long distance relationship, cos that's what you currently have, is bloody hard work, he's probably feeling the same, you need to talk, is there no chance of him working nearer home, or getting back more often .... the thing i've found is, you need to make things special whenever you are together .... green eyed monster sucks .... but you HAVE to trust him, if you don't it will only get worse. .... good luck xxx

If you have no reason to suspect him of anything then there may well be other reasons for how you are feeling. Is there any reason why you could be down about things at the moment, even very mild depression can manifest itself in other ways. Whatever you do don't take any of this out of OH (not that it sounded like you would anyway ) and try to plan some things that make you happy. Visit friends locally (don't spend too much time alone) and make sure it's energising friends not ones which drain you, get plenty of fresh air, cook your favourite meal, if you're in the house on your own take the opportunity to have a real pamper evening which you can't do when somebody else is there, whatever suits you. Basically use your time positively and plan things so you don't have time to dwell on things. Might not work but then again it might and you've nothing to lose

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
