judging by how many people have been having problems with the digital switch over, wonder how many babies will be born lol

  • #2
In the UK; in the North West or on the Vine?

It's only the North West that seem to be having the problems.....but then again the full switchover hasn't happened across the UK yet. It would be a good sociology trial to track the switchover per region with birth rates though - good thinking!!!

Digital switchover is the only thing we get here as overkill, our telly didn't like the big power level and the amp had to come off, after weeks of trying to work out what was wrong with the bladdy thing.

Digital switch over didn't really matter to us as we watch most of our telly through cable on virgin media so that wasn't affected but some of our friends had real problems and were given totally duff info at electrical shops. One was told that she had to buy a new special type of TV that was fully HD ready despite already having a freeview box and various other people were given hard sell. Also they were trying to sell them top of the range stuff without checking that they had digital ariels etc to cope with it.

To be honest I was happy enough with analogue as it was. Don't watch much TV and I'm a bit of a flat earther when it comes to technology and don't do gadgets.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
