When I tried to login tonight there was a different format. I never even realised I had a password to provide so went through the procedure to change it. That's when the tears started to set in. I was repeatedly advised that as I had not checked the 'terms' requirement I must return and try again. This went on and after 4 attempts I began to think I had been expelled. But! I needed a reason why so emailed 'growyourown' website.
I was already really stressed out through an encounter with 'Amazon'. It was the proverbial straw.

Try closing down the computer; starting it back up again and clearing your cookies before trying again. If it happens again.

And in the meantime, don't actually log out - just stay logged in and it should bring you back in each time.

If there is a problem again, go to the home page and at the bottom is 'view forum leaders' - send whoever is online an email and tell them what is happening and we will try to get you back here.

Same happened to me. All of a sudden logged out and had to register?

I get it every now and then on someone else's computer........but I just clear the cookies and all seems well.

It's on the 'green band' at the bottom of all the forums, but before the 'Who's Online' box (I think)

I cleared cookies as suggested but when I wished to log in again I was asked for password. In the email I was given a gobbledegooch name can I change it to one I will remember?

Yup - go to user CP and then to edit password and email. Change it there.

First time I've been logged out unwittingly Bren, but when I came on tonight I had to put in my user name and password. Because I have many senior moments, all my passwords and log in names are in an alphabetical book (in my own code I might add) so I could log back on easily.

Glad you had no problem Florence but in spite of my senior moments (Urggh)
each time I close The Vine (without logging out) I have the log in thing to do again. No problem really but a bit confusing when it has never happened before.

What a pain for you Bren. Mine is ok now, I've popped out and back on a couple of times to make sure. Don't get upset, I'm sure someone on here can sort it for you.

Is the Vine going to be out of order all over the holiday. If it wasn't broken why did they fix it ?
