Those working on Christmas Day/Boxing Day

I drove a milk tanker collecting milk from farms for 28 years and only had 5 christmas's of in all that time it is some thing that you get used to .
So there is a another bunch of workers that never get mentioned dairy workers in the botling plants and cheese factories .
So all the best to all the workers whatever trade who worked over the holliday perrod....jacob

I am back at work today after a lovely day yesterday working 4 back shifts so off again for new year, not that we do mch for that!

It's not a Bank Holiday over here- just the one day off- we have our heating engineer fitting our new boiler today ( having suggested he might want to come back another day )..ah well- he looks so like Richard Gere, I'm quite happy to drool over him!

I did a 7pm to 8am shift last night and now am going to bed for a few hours post being dragged to the f'ing Next sale!! (lots of chest pains and a couple of OD's in last night, as usual for a christmas plus a few deliveries)

Dad worked, although he works almost 365 days a year, only days he takes off are if he is ill. Being a Dairy Farmer its more a way of life than a job!!!

yes i got quite a few tips some of them were non runners though but i enjoyed the job .
A chap in a dairy asked me once what was the best part of my job and i told him getting back in the countryside after delivering in the towns and cities....jacob
