I had a warning like Mats and a Trojan. Don't know if they are linked, heaven knows what sites my son goes on!

AVG just blocked some javascript trying to run. I suspect it's from the ads.

I'm still getting it - avast suggests its trying to download a zip file. Can't get access really as Avast aborts the connection...

          Hi All,

Thank you for making us aware of the issue. I've resolved it but it could happen again... If you keep receiving the error please refresh the page, if that doesn't resolve it please contact a Mod who will then forward it directly to me.

          Thank you!

Windows 7 is no longer reporting it. This morning it wouldn't let me in to the forum at all. I suppose the world is full of idiots. (No, the virus dropper, not me).

                  I'm in now too Yayy!

Please can I recommend anybody who has been logged-in with no apparent problems since last night, go to Free software downloads - CNET Download.com and download Avast anti-virus software (it's free). AVG does not seem to be picking up any security issues, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't there

Yeah, I had the big red screen warning this morning too. I use google chrome and it would not allow access to the Vine at all: some sort of malware warning

Creepy to think there's been some sort of cyber attack on the Vine. Somewhere like Facebook it would be par for the course, but having a go at this site feels really personal!

I had big problems this morning when trying to log in. Got a strange message about Javascript and then my antivirus blocked the site. Updates and scans run and it now seems OK. Why do these idiots mess up our sites??? Have they nothing better to do?? What do they stand to gain from what they are doing??

I know, it's not nice is it? But to be honest, forums all over the place have these problems, we're really lucky that Admin are on the ball and manage to keep them out. 'Spect that attacking on Christmas night was intentional, thinking that no-one would be able to sort it out. Barstewards!!

Most people seem to have been stopped from accessing the Vine by various different security products/browser security. But AVG has been letting folks through and I'm not sure if that's because it blocked the Malware, or if it's because it didn't detect it... So if you did manage to get through, I'm suggesting a scan of PC with something other than AVG...

I had a big scare with malware last week. Took me ages to get rid of it but still not sure whether it is still lurking. I do hope it wasn't me that spread the bug

running norton 2010 and got through(have done a full system scan with no problems....wondering as I have no ad's, perhaps why I had no problems?), downloading the 1 you provided, but will have to see as norton and zonealarm together crashed my PC...

When I had the bad experience last week I downloaded the free 30 day trial of AVG 9. It is a bit tiresome with the constant 'firewall' checks but seems OK. If I download the Avast how will it get by the AVG firewall?
