I don't know how cold it was this morning but there were three brass monkeys singing soprano at my front door at 6am.

its horribly grey here ..theres thick mist all up and down the valley and the smoke from the wood burner is just lying across the tops of the houses... and its about 8 degrees - quite warm really.....mustnt grumble.....Comment

Cold enough to freeze my towels on the washing line!
Similar frosting over everything today, but looked so magical and sparkly with the sun on it.Life is too short for drama & petty things!

On my way home from my Dad's this afternoon I noticed the Reservoir is frozen, poor duck's are just stood there wondering whats going on, have been and had a look at the thermometer in the green house, its -8...FFFFFFFFrezzing cold here, Brrrrr.

No idea what the temperature outside is. And I aren't going down to the greenhouse to see what it is there. I know that Ed my dog got me up at 4.15 a.m. (like us he is getting old) and outside the air frost was shimmering in the porch light. And it isn't getting any warmer. My sister, who is nearly 80, just phoned to see if she should come up and see us tomorrow. I referred her to the local psychiatric unit to ask their opinion.Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

OH has just got home from work and his car thermometer read at -2. Gawd knows what it will be in the night! Our heating comes on under a certain temp as the boiler is in the garage and it wakes the whole house up when it comes on in the night as it's so noisy! It came on twice last night so must have been really cold.
Have just checked on the chooks and brought their water in as it's frozen solid already. This saves me a 10 min job to thaw it out in the morning as I've got first school run of the year and will need all the extra minutes I can find lolComment
